Plot Summary

The beautiful Princess Aurora was born under a terrible spell from the Black Witch, who had a grudge against her father, saying that on her 16th birthday she  would die by having her fifinger pierced by the spindle of a spinning wheel. Even with the help of the fairies, the spell could not be undone, and Princess Aurora  slept for a long time. Later on, the lucky princess receives tears of affection, friendship and true love's kiss. Prince Philip not only defeated the actual witch,  but also succeeded in breaking the spell and rescuing the princess.

Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on ice

The Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on ice (former the Leningrad State Ballet on ice) founded in 1967 by the outstanding choreographer Konstantin Boyarsky, is  the successor of the remarkable traditions of the St.Petersburg school of the classical ballet.Since 1995 the Saint-Petersburg Ballet on ice has been performing on stage of opera theaters. It shows the most famous ballets by P.Tchaikovsky: "Sleeping Beauty""Swan Lake""Nutcracker" and ballets by S. Prokofifiev  "Cinderella" and "Romeo and Juliet" as well. There are about 20 dancers in the company who have the honorable titles of the Masters of Sports of Russia for  the victories at the all-Russia and international fifigure-skating competitions.
