Artist Lineup
Huun Huur Tu
Huun Huur Tu, also known as "The Sunbeams" , is a musical ensemblehailing from the Republic of Tuva, situated at the border of Russia and Mongolia. They stand as the earliest global representatives of Tuvan music and culture. The group, currently composed of Kaigal-ool Khovalyg, Sayan Bapa, Radik Tyulyush, and Alexey Saryglar, excels not only in playing traditional Tuvan instruments like the Igil, Tuvan three-stringed lute, and mouth harp but also in utilizing throat singing (xöömei), whistling, and various vocal techniques to recreate the sounds of nature. They are not only the epitome of Tuvan folk music but also esteemed maestros in the world of music.
Over the past two decades, Huun Huur Tu has left their footprints across the globe, representing the forefront of contemporary throat singing music and earning the moniker of "the most natural sound that delves into the soul."
