Plot Summary

Princess Augusta, who has been turned into a swan by the magician Rodbert, meets Prince Siegfried by the lake and confesses her misfortunes, telling himthat only faithful love can free her from the magician's rule and that the prince has sworn to love her forever. At the ball to choose a bride for the prince, themagician disguises himself as a warrior and deceives the prince with his daughter, Augelia, who looks like Ojeta. Realizing that he has been deceived, theprince runs excitedly to the shore of the lake and, with the help and encouragement of Ojeta and a flock of swans, defeats the magician. The swans arerestored to their human forms, and Ojeta and the prince are finally united.

Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on ice

The Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on ice (former the Leningrad State Ballet on ice) founded in 1967 by the outstanding choreographer Konstantin Boyarsky, is  the successor of the remarkable traditions of the St.Petersburg school of the classical ballet.Since 1995 the Saint-Petersburg Ballet on ice has been performing on stage of opera theaters. It shows the most famous ballets by P.Tchaikovsky: "Sleeping Beauty""Swan Lake""Nutcracker" and ballets by S. Prokofifiev  "Cinderella" and "Romeo and Juliet" as well. There are about 20 dancers in the company who have the honorable titles of the Masters of Sports of Russia for  the victories at the all-Russia and international fifigure-skating competitions.
