During his tenure as Chief Conductor of the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, he received praise for his profound interpretation of a wide repertoire and transformative music-making. He also received unanimous critical success for his cycle of the orchestral works of Dvořák with Hänssler Classic, with critics saying 'Chichon scores significantly over several esteemed rivals' and praising the first release as 'the finest version available'. His disc of music by Prokofiev, Stravinsky and de Falla inspired Fanfare Magazine to describe Chichon as 'commanding, electrifying, utterly individual, with his German Radio Philharmonic playing as those possessed'.
Chichon has conducted the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Wiener Symphoniker, NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre National de Belgique and Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI amongst other orchestras and in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Musikverein Vienna, Konzerthaus Vienna, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Royal Festival Hall London, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées Paris, Munich Philharmonie, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Alter Oper Frankfurt, Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Auditorio Nacional de Musica Madrid and Seoul Arts Center South Korea.

Elina Garanča/Mezzo Soprano
“Garanča is one of the most sought-after singers on Earth…she has few peers, vocally, musically, or dramatically” – New York Classical Review
Mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča has established herself as a major star through her highly acclaimed performances for the world’s leading opera houses, symphony orchestras and recital halls. She has captivated audiences with her exquisite voice, intelligent musicianship, and compelling stage presence.
Garanča was born into a musical family in Riga, Latvia, and studied at the Latvian Academy of Music with her mother. She began her professional career as a resident artist with the Südthüringischer Staatstheater in Meiningen and later with Oper Frankfurt. She is particularly famed for her portrayal of Bizet’s Carmen and was described by the New York Times as “the finest Carmen in 25 years…” following her appearance at the Metropolitan Opera in a production that was one of the most viewed and successful “Live in HD”. She also performed Carmen at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala Milan and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía Valencia, all to critical acclaim.
An exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon (DG), Garanča has released many albums for the label and received numerous ECHO KLASSIK awards, including ‘Singer of the Year’ for her first non-core-classical album "Sol y Vida". She is also recipient of Musical America’s ‘Vocalist of the Year’, MIDEM’s ‘Singer of the Year’ and a Grammy nomination. Her first solo recital album was recorded with pianist Malcolm Martineau in 2020 and her latest release on DG – “Live From Salzburg” - features Christian Thielemann conducting the Wiener Philharmoniker in a programme of Wagner Wesendonck Lieder and Mahler Rückert Lieder. A critically-acclaimed recording of Elgar Sea Pictures with Daniel Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin was also recently released on Decca.
Garanča was honoured with the title of ‘Kammersängerin’ by the Wiener Staatsoper in 2013, for her devotion to the House.

Macao Orchestra (OM) is Macao’s professional orchestra with a repertoire of Chinese and Western classics throughout the times.
In 1983, Father Áureo de Castro of the St. Pious X Academy of Music and a group of music lovers founded the Macao Chamber Orchestra. In 2001, the Macao Chamber Orchestra was extended into an orchestra with double winds; it was renamed the Macao Orchestra. Today, it has developed into a small-to-medium-sized orchestra of around 50 outstanding musicians from more than ten countries and regions. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macao’s Return to the Motherland, the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, and the 80th Anniversary of the Premiere of the Yellow River Cantata, in November 2019, Macao Orchestra was invited by Beijing’s China NCPA Orchestra and the Zhuhai Huafa and CPAA Grand Theatre to take part in a concert featuring profoundly historic and contemporary Chinese works, thus honouring this much commemorable historic occasion.
Since 2018, the Orchestra has officially launched the “Young Audience Programme” to provide a variety of wonderful musical events for young people of different ages to enhance their appreciation of classical music. In addition, at community level, the Orchestra has held the “Music for All” concert series, bringing music to campuses, communities and disadvantaged groups, thus greatly expanding the target audience for classical music, and even helping younger talents to realise their musical dreams.
