Vadim Repin was born in Siberia in 1971. At seventeen, he was the youngest ever winner of the most prestigiousand demanding violin competition in the world, the Reine Elisabeth Concours. He has performed with thegreatest orchestras in the world on numerous occasions, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony,Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Symphony, etc. Vadim Repin collaborated with DG many times to record violinrepertoire albums, including Argerich, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Muti, Mischamyski and Lang Lang andother famous artists. In 2008, Repin and conductor Seiji Ozawa boarded the stage of the NCPA New Year'sConcert together, witnessing the grand opening of the NCPA.
