Artist Lineup
Ciprian Teodorașcu
A graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest, Ciprian Teodorașcu carries out a rich artistic activity at the Bucharest National Opera as well as throughout the world. His repertoire includes over 40 Opera and Ballet titles, as well as Vocal-Symphonic, Operetta or Musical. He collaborated with great artists such as Angela Gheorghiu, Alberto Rinaldi, Alina Cojocaru, during tours held in Spain, Germany, South Korea or Belgium.
LIN Daye
Lin Daye, music director and principal conductor of Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, artistic director and principal conductor of Wuxi Symphony Orchestra, special guest conductor of China National Symphony Orchestra, associate director of Composition & Conducting department at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, adjunct professor of The School of Music of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He has successively studied under Prof. Xu Xin, a conductor educator from the Central Conservatory of Music, Prof. Zhang Guoyong from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Prof. Christian Ehwald of the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, Germany, and obtained the Konzertexam certificate.
Laurent Korcia
Laurent Korcia is one of the top international violinists of this generation. At the age of eighteen, Laurent Korcia won the Paganini Competition in Genoa, which earned him the honor of performing on Paganini’s Guarnerius del Gesu. Laurent Korcia’s concerts have covered Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and the Far East, New Zealand and Australia. He has been invited to play as soloist of major symphony orchestras.
Angela Gheorghiu
Since her Royal Opera debut, Angela Gheorghiu has appeared at the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls around the world, her repertory including, among others, Mimì in La bohème, Violetta in La traviata, Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Marguerite in Faust, Micaëla (Carmen), Liù (Turandot). She has recorded widely for EMI Classics / Warner Classics and Decca and has received numerous international artistic honours.
Jonathan. Tetelman
Jonathan Tetelman completed the graduate performance studies program at The New School of Music, Mannes College and earned his undergraduate degree from Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Tetelman has also made his Royal Opera House at Covent Garden debut as both Alfredo in La traviata and Rodolfo in La bohème, and sang Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca with Teatro Regio Torino.
Sahib Pashazade
Sahib Pashazade is an internationally acclaimed tar virtuoso. Pashazade is one of Azerbaijan's most famous performers of mugham, who celebrates worldwide success both as a soloist and in collaboration with famous musicians and orchestras from more than 50 countries. The tar virtuoso became the first instrumental musician to receive the Grand Prix in 2017 in the history of the famous “Sharq Taronalari” festival in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and the first ever tar player to perform with Russia’s Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra.
Krzysztof Jablonski
Prof. Krzysztof Jablonski, is currently serving as Academic Leader and Head of Piano & Keyboard at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Laureate of the 1985 F. Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland, as well as numerous top prizes at international piano competitions in Milan, Palm Beach, Monza, Dublin, New York, Calgary, and Gold Medal at the A. Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv.
GUO Sen
Guo Sen graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Liu Ruo’e, and studied with Zhou Xiaoyan for the postgraduate study. In 2002, she performed Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Semperoper Dresden in Germany. After that, she was invited to perform the same role by major opera houses in Europe. In the same year, she signed a contract with the Zurich Opera House and is its Chinese soprano soloist with the longest contract at the opera house. She has played the leading roles in dozens of operas and gained extensive experience in opera singing and acting.
Karen Korchayan
Karen Kocharyan graduated from Yerevan Tchaykovsky Special School of Music (Class of Prof. Alexander Chaushyan) and Yerevan State Conservatory (class of Prof. Geronty Talalyan). Karen Kocharyan was First Solo Cellist of the Armenian Chamber Players (ACP) and Solo Principal of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. He has toured with the Armenian Chamber Players and Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra throughout Europe, featuring as soloist as well.
Edoardo Turbil
Edoardo Turbil is considered one of the most notable Italian pianists of his generation. He has been praised by the international music world as an “excellent pianist, with sensitivity and a well-developed technique” (Badura-Skoda) and as capable of evoking “an enthralling picture of a character torn by longing” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung). Turbil graduated from The Juilliard School’s DMA piano program with top marks, in the studio of Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky.
ZHANG Liping
Zhang Liping is currently serving as an Associate Dean (Faculty) at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. She is a leading soprano who performed at the world’s major opera houses including the Royal Opera Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Opera de Paris, NCPA etc. to sing under the baton of Loren Mazel, Daniel Oren, James Colon amongst others; and to sing opposite esteemed artists such as Placido Domingo, Leo Nucci, etc.
ZHU Huiling
Zhu Huiling is the Professor of School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The Shanghai-born mezzo-soprano, Zhu Huiling graduated from Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, and Musikhochschule Stuttgart, where she made her Bachelor, Master and Soloist (Doctor) degrees of Lieder and Opera. Her repertoires include Carmen, Werther, Così fan Tutte, Barbe-Bleue, Rheingold, The Wilderness etc., as well as the operettas. As an opera singer, she’s invited by different orchestras and opera houses in China, such as NCPA, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra (SSO), Central Opera House, etc.
SHI Yijie
Shi Yijie, tenor, is currently serving as Professor, Academic Leader and Head of Opera & Voice at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and visiting professor of many conservatories in China. Shi Yijie is an accomplished Chinese vocalist who actively performs on stages around the world. In 2007, he won the gold medal at International Vocal Competition for the fourth consecutive year, making him the first Chinese singer to perform at Rossini Opera Festival, where Rossini’s works are best performed.
LIU Songhu
Dr. LIU Songhu, a world-renowned baritone, serves as a Professor of Opera & Voice at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He is a soloist at the National Centre for the Performing Arts and an Associate Professor at the Academy of Opera of Peking University. He has played leading roles in more than fifty operas like La Bohème, Il Barbiere di Siviglia Carmen, Die Zauberfloete, Eugen Onegin, Le Nozze di Figaro etc. Up to now, theatres and operas in both Europe and China have witnessed his performances more than six hundred times, all of which have been hailed by world media.
Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra (SZSO)
After 40 years of hard work and unremitting pursuit, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra is recognized as one of the outstanding professional symphony orchestras in China and has become a beautiful business card for Shenzhen. National first-level performer and violinist Nie Bing is the current chairman of the orchestra artistic committee. The music director is the distinguished conductor Lin Daye. Yu Long is artistic advisor, German conductor Christian Ehwald is honorary music director, and famous musician Tan Dun is principal honorary conductor.
Lanzhou Concert Hall Choir
Lanzhou Concert Hall Choir was established in May, 2017. It is the first professional choir in the history of Gansu Province. The Choir has 70 signed actors. At the beginning of its establishment, the choir received the concern and support from Chinese Musicians Association and all sectors of society, and received unanimous praise from the audience. The Choir has collaborated with many famous Chinese conductors, such as Yu Long, Chen Xieyang, Zhang Guoyong, Li Xincao etc., and also collaborated with many famous Chinese singers: Wei Song, Mo Hualun, Yao Hong, Liao Changyong, etc.. Through a number of cooperation projects, the Choir has created and performed many Chinese and foreign outstanding works.
